Scholarship Committee of Cleveland, Ohio are residents
of the Greater Cleveland community. This is an independent,
tax-exempt, grass roots organization, and it is not affiliated
with any other organization or government entity.
Our
Mission
The mission of
the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Scholarship Committee
of Cleveland, Ohio is to:
- Provide an
honorable celebration of the life, work & legacy of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.;
- Encourage
historical research for written/visual creative expression
by Northeast Ohio’s youth via scholarship
Contests;
- Promote the
importance of life-long reading and learning;
- Honor individuals
and organizations whose work moves us closer to Dr. King’s
vision of The Beloved Community.
